If I bleach my hair, can I use a blonde hair color over it?

If I can use color over it, will it turn orange? Does it add to the damamge? If I bleach my hair, can I use a blonde hair color over it?
Yes it adds to the damage, and if you do it right and don't over process it shouldn't turn orange. If you are bleaching dark brown to black hair the hair after bleaching may look slightly orange if you are using a home kit. You may not be able to dye it lighter then what the bleach turned out. It is kind of dependent on the developer and dye brand you are using. I recommend Feria with the Feria developer. If you can get to a beauty supply store they sell more colors and may have developer 40 available. Try that.

Ideally you'll want to let your hair rest. Do the bleach on a Friday or Saturday night and wait a day before applying the dye.If I bleach my hair, can I use a blonde hair color over it?
yes it does damage but, you can use blonde dye and get that color that you desire.
well ,if your hair is dark and you wont real blonde hair ,buy a stripper ,that stripes out allyour color ,then you put a color on it i been doing this for years ,
The professional way to color hair is exactly that. Bleach or lift the base color lighter than the desired color, then apply the toner or ';desired color'; to achieve the look you want. Over the counter colors are more or less a bleach and toner in one. If your hair is dark and you go lighter you need to use an ash based color to tone down the orange/red pigments.
it will add to the damage. i would suggest using a toner. if you go to a beauty supply store and ask them how to get brassiness out, or to even out blonde color or whatever shade of blonde you are going for..they can reccomend a toner that will fix your problem. its like a tint that cancels out the problems with blonde hair to get it the right tone. it is way more gentle than dye. if you really feel like you have to dye it, i would suggest waiting a week and deep condition A LOT.
