How to make a dirty blonde hair color turn lighter without going to the salon?

i have like a dirty blonde hair color, and i seem to like the really light blonde emo look. i used to have platinum hair, so i bleached it ALL the time and it's health really suffered, so that's how you have to get the REALLY light hair





the only thing I can think of that would lighten your hair w/o much damage would be Sun-In, but I don't think that would get the look you're thinking of





Oh, and if you do end up bleaching your hair, it will be orangey the first time or 2





And DON'T do it more than once in a week, deep condition alot

I had this beautiful blonde hair when I was a kid and as I got older it darkened up. Since you probably had the same thing happen to you the same stuff should work for your hair as does for mine. First off, I don't recommend trying to go super light at home. It looks really fake anyway and there is too much that can go wrong. If you just want your hair back to the color you had when you were younger you should be able to do it at home. It might help to have a friend help since you really can't see the back. Since you have a dark blonde hair now go for a light or medium blonde. Stay away from the ultra light blonde colors. They can get really brassy since it is more than a couple of shades lighter than your natural color. Go for a neutral or ash based color not a golden blonde which can turn out too yellowish or brassy. If you have thick hair or it is longer than your shoulders get more than one bottle of color so you don't run out. After that just follow the directions. Some places even have a number you can call if you have questions. I know clairol has a toll free number, but I'm sure a lot of the other ones do to.
buy blue/violet based hair peroxide, at a hairdresser wholesalers, or a pre lightner form the shop. it does the bleach blonde look, and takes away any reddy orange colours, make sure you use condtioners,


i had dark brown hair already died violetblack so it took me 4 times, and it did dry it out alot.. but as you are lighter and not died already it should only take one.. maybe two.. think about it first and roots are very annoying.. i have dark black thin eyebrows and it looked good thoughi thought it wouldnt.. it looks best with thin eyebrows.
there ooils and lotions..etc other stuff you can put in ur hair to make it lighter just go in the shampoo and hair gels all that stuuf ale and it should be there

There is a hair dye called maxi blonde you can buy at Wal-mart. I hard dark brown hair and it made mine really light blonde.
