My hair is dark brown - I want to see if anyone knows a good over the counter hair coloring to get it a non-brassy light or pretty blonde color. I always have a problem of it just coming up to brassy.Does anyone know what a good over the counter blonde hair color?
Use this color:http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/de鈥?/a>
Leave it in for an hour. Then wash it out. It's going to be orangey because your hair is s dark. At best this will turn your hair a really light brown or a dark blonde. Then once your hair is dry take the same color and dye it again. This way it won't be so orangey. Leave it in for about 45 minutes. After 30 minutes check the color every 5 minutes to see how light it looks. When you're at your desired shade wash it out. The color should be about a medium to light blonde. In a week once your hair has recovered from all of the damage you can dye it again if it's still orange. Then after wards wash your hair every three days so it doesn't get brassy. When you do wash your hair rinse it really really well. Also use a great color protecting shampoo and conditioner combo. Leave them each in for about 8 minutes. When your hair feels brittle then it's washed out. Good luck and I hope I helped!Does anyone know what a good over the counter blonde hair color?
you cannot go from dark brown to a light blonde with a box color.
it's a very long process that is better left to a professional. you could seriously damage your hair if you don't know what you are doing. using a blonde box dye is going to turn your hair an ugly shade of brassy red, orange and yellow. it will not be pretty.
your hair needs to be professionally lightened to AT LEAST a level 8 and then toned.
you are going to have very damaged, frizzy and uneven haircolor if you listen to the person below my answer. LOL.
you cannot get to a true blonde without professional bleach and toner. you're going to end up with hair like this http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image鈥?/a> or this http://frozen2late.files.wordpress.com/2鈥?/a> and with tons of breakage.
also check this out before you decide you want to do it on your own. http://www.google.com/search?gbv=2%26amp;hl=en鈥?/a>
No. But I could sure use a couple of over-the-counter blondes! ARK ARK. Thank you. I'll be here all week.
